JUNIOR COMMAND COURSE 16 COMMENCES

Junior Command Course number 16 commenced on 2 May 2019. 56 officers in the ranks of Major and Captain including two foreign officers from friendly foreign countries of Bangladesh and Nepal have been enlisted to follow the course.

Delivering the opening address, Major General DMDCD Gunawardane RWP USP ndc psc, the Commandant, OCDC welcomed the student officers whilst highlighting the importance of completing this course in a competitive environment. He also stressed upon the value of being inspired with discipline, integrity and loyalty in the military life.

Laying a solid foundation to complete the course successfully, Colonel DKSK Dolage USP psc, the Chief Instructor stressed the significance of the course to become a professional officer in the Army. The Senior Instructor – JCC addressed the student officers with a brief overview of the course while encouraging them to complete the course successfully.

Addressing the course, the Commanding Officer - Admin Wing gave necessary admin instructions in order to make their stay at the centre comfortable.

The ceremony was attended by all the permanent staff officers of OCDC.
