FOUNDATION STONE IS LAID FOR A TWO - STORY BUILDING

The foundation stone for a two - story building was ceremonially laid by the ARTRAC Commander Major General SS Waduge RWP RSP USP ndu psc with the Commander of SF Central, Major General NR Lamahewage RWP RSP ndu, and the Commandant of OCDC, Major General DBSN Bothota RWP RSP USP psc at the OCDC premises on 11 April 2021 amidst Pirith Chanting of Maha Sanga.

The ARTRAC Commander and Commander of SF Central were honoured and accorded a drive - past by Gemunu Watch troops and were accompanied to the construction site for the ceremony by the Commandant of OCDC. Later, the two Commanders visited the main administrative area of OCDC and the proposed site for the Army War College Headquarters. With the purpose of having a formal discussion with Senior Officers of the OCDC, the ARTRAC Commander and Commander SF Central participated in a briefing held at the Conference Hall of the Headquarters. The day’s proceedings were successfully culminated with a tea party arranged at the Officers Mess.

Brigadier Admin and Quartering SF Central TMGGS Thennakoon RWP, Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructor, SIs, DS and all other Officers of the Permanent Staff of OCDC also participated in the event.
