DURING A THREE-DAY EVALUATION SESSION OF PRESENTATIONS, STUDENT OFFICERS DEMONSTRATED ACADEMIC PROFICIENCY

The Army War College conducted a Three-Day evaluation session of presentations of the student officers of SCC 8, JCC 27 and JSC 24 to test the standards of their final presentations which they are expected to submit as a partial fulfilment of the courses. On 5,6 and 7 August 2023, student officers presented their final presentations before a panel that consisted of Senior Instructors, Head of the Academic Wing, Members of the Directing Staff and English Instructors on the direction of Chief Instructor and the Commandant Army War College.

According to the theme of leadership, JSC 24 presented 4 final presentations on par with describing 4 great Sri Lankan and Foreign military leaders while coming out with the comprehensive analyses of the given military leaders. Under the theme of war studies, JCC 27 presented 10 final presentations consisted with broad analyses of Sri Lankan and foreign military operations. SCC 8 presented 4 presentations while showing their versatile knowledge and experiences on Sri Lankan and Foreign Military Operations.

This sets an infrequent opportunity for the student officers to showcase their academic prospects at the final presentations and to reflect how mastery they are in academic exposures as well.

Having assessed the each of the presentations, the Chief Instructor and panel of the evaluation board added constructive comments on their performance in relation with the content, public speaking and presentation skills.
