COMMANDANT HOSTED AN INTERACTIVE DINNER FOR FOREIGN STUDENT OFFICERS OF ARMY WAR COLLEGE

Upholding the stance of a country being renowned for its great hospitality and keeping with the customs in worldwide war colleges, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army War College (AWC), Major General Dinesh Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc hosted an interactive Dinner Session for the Foreign Student Officers together with their local Sponsor Student Officers.

The AWC commenced the three Courses namely Senior Command Course 10, Junior Command Course 29 and Junior Staff Course 25 during the first trimester for the year 2024 with 117 Student Officers comprising 04 Student Officers from four different friendly foreign countries in the region and elsewhere

The interactive Session that concluded with a welcome dinner was comprised with multicultural musical performances as well as cross-culture fusion foods and was attended by Major Mohommad Mahid Hossain from Bangaladesh Army, Major Bhuvan Upadthyay from Indian Army, Captain Ahmed Shaneez from Maldives National Defence Force and Captain Bridget Kapumpa from Zambian Army along with the Chief Instructor AWC, Senior Instructors, Head of the Academic Wing and four Sponsor Student Officers from the Junior Command Course.
