AWC CONDUCTS FIRST MEETING OF BOM

Major General C.D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, attended to first meeting of Board of Management made at Army War College, Buttala on Tuesday (09).

Major General S U M N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, Director General General Staff (DGGS) of Sri Lanka Army, Major General G W A Seneviratne USP psc, Director, Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine of the Sri Lanka Army also took part on this meeting.

During the stay, the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, planted a sapling of ‘Ramonchi’ infront of the main auditorium to make it an occasion to remember. After that, they participated for a discussion to discuss and exchange thoughts about college training and administration matters to maintain the same high standards of the College.

After the briefing, the COS visited the Main Auditorium, Library, Defence Studies Branch and the Model Room. Thereafter, he signed the Visitors’ Book and inscribed his comments and wishes.

He also had a short interactive session with the other officers of the War College at the Officers’ Mess before the lunch.
