ARMY WAR COLLEGE CELEBRATES ITS FOURTH ANNIVERSARY

Army War College (AWC), the highest seat of military excellence established for military training for middle grade officers of the Army celebrated its fourth anniversary on 17 December 2025 giving prominence to religious observances.

To coincide with the celebration programme of the anniversary on 17 December, a Bodhi Pooja Session and Dhamma sermon was conducted at the temple premises of the AWC to invoke blessings. Religious events organized in line with the anniversary celebration drawn to the end by an alms giving for the reverend monks of Maha Sanga residing at Katugahagalge temple where the troops attended with immense religious respect.

Brigadier PPC Perera psc, Deputy Commandant, on behalf of Maj Gen PS Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc, Commandant Army War College, gifted dry ration parcels to 56 members of the Army Civil Staff, recognizing their dedication and service. This gesture underscores the institution's appreciation for the hard work and commitment of its staff for serving the nation.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and Army Civil Staff participated in the events conducted on the eve of the anniversary celebration.
