PASSING OUT PARADE OF THE BASIC CERTIFICATE IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY COURSE 128
Hundred and twenty-five recruits belong to the Basic Certificate in Information and Communication Technology Course 128 received their insignia on 02 November 2022 at the School of Signals during a glamorous parade. Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu, the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area- Central graced the passing out ceremony as the Chief Guest accompanied by senior officers of Signal Regiments accepting the invitation sent by the Commandant School of Signals.

The passing out parade, was coloured with pinning of signal badges and the prize awarding for S/288216 Signalman Manuranga TGT who became the best all round student and for the Number 2 platoon which became the best all round platoon. The Chief Guest congratulated the new signallers whilst adding his invaluable advice for the betterment of their future professional endeavours. Subsequent to the parade a demonstration of the function of a communication centre, basic computer network, close circuit television systems, radar, telephone network and radio communications was presented to the chief guest and senior officers by the students of the course.

The Basic Certificate in Information and Communication Technology Course was conducted during the time span of forty-eight days which encompassed theoretical and practical knowledge in all basic aspects of communications and information technology and training with regards to regimentation.
