CIVIL STAFF AT SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (CENTRAL) PREPARE TO CELEBRATE THE SINHALA AND HINDU NEW YEAR

In conjunction with the impending Sinhala and Hindu New Year, a special welfare initiative was executed under the conceptual guidance of the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit. This initiative was launched to recognize and appreciate the dedicated services of all civil staff personnel serving within the Sri Lanka Army. Accordingly, financial vouchers made possible through a monetary donation by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit were distributed among 940 civil staff members discharging their duties within the Area of Responsibility of the Security Forces Headquarters - Central.

Symbolizing this wider distribution, a special ceremony was held on 08 April 2026 under the auspices of the Commander, Security Forces (Central). During this event, 47 civil staff personnel serving directly under the SFHQ (Cen) received their financial vouchers, alongside ready-made garments and dry ration packs generously provided by the Headquarters. Addressing the gathering, the Commander extended his warmest greetings for the upcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year. Furthermore, he highly commended the invaluable contribution and dedicated service rendered by the civil staff, which significantly facilitates the successful execution of administrative operations within the SFHQ (Cen) and the Army at large

Such welfare-oriented programs are continuously organized by the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) with the objective of uplifting the living standards, camaraderie, and general well-being of the military and civilian workforce. The event was graced by the Commander, Security Forces (Central), alongside Senior Officers and Officers of the Headquarters.
