THE COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (CENTRAL) UNDERTAKES A FIELD VISIT FOR DISASTER RELIEF COORDINATION

To inspect the prevailing disaster situation in the Badulla area within the 112 Infantry Brigade AOR and to assess the required future courses of action, the Commander Security Forces (Central) Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP, conducted a field visit on 28 November 2025.

Furthermore, the Commander participated in the disaster management coordination meeting held at the District Secretariat, Badulla, which was attended by the Governor of the Uva Province, the deputy Minister of Defence and other administrative officials. Following the meeting, the Commander inspected the disaster relief centres established at Nelumgama School and Mutiyangana Temple, where displaced and rescued civilians are being temporarily sheltered. During the visit, all individuals accommodated at these centers were provided with a refreshment meal (pizza) distributed by the Sri Lanka Army.
