CONDUCTING OF RAMADAN (IFTAR) RELEGIOUS FESTIVAL

For Muslim communities across the world, the Ramadan feast is an important occasion. It is known that the Quran, the sacred text of Islam, was given to Prophet Muhammad by God as a means of guiding humanity. During Ramadan, people read the Quran, pray together at the mosque, and reflect.

On 25 March 2025, at 1816 hours, a religious gathering was held at the Golf Club premises to break the fasting with Iftar, under the direction and supervision of the Commander Security Force (Central). Maheer Mawlawi participated in the occasion together with all other religious authorities from the Diyathalawa, Kahagolla and Haputhale Jumma mosques. Additionally, Maheer Mawlawi delivered a lecture on the value and significance of Iftar and fasting. The event was successfully concluded and followed by the refreshments.
