TROOPS OF 12 INFANTRY DIVISION ASSISTED IN REHABILITATING “KARADANDARA TANK” EMBANKMENT

The Karadandara tank embankment in the Siyambalanduwa Divisional Secretariat Division of the Monaragala district was under threat of collapse due to the heavy rainfalls experienced during recent past. Following a request made by the Monaragala Disaster Management Center, on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, Major General WSN Hemarathna RWP RSP psc, troops of the 18 Bn of the Gemunu Watch promptly responded and carried out repairs to the tank embankment on 18th and 19th March 2025. Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, and with the supervision of the Commanding Officer, 01 x 25 troops of 18 Battalion of the Gemunu Watch engaged in repair works of the tank embankment.
