The Security Forces Headquarters - Central (SFHQ - Central) celebrated Sinhala Tamil New Year on 09 April 2025 at “ Muthu Kumaaru ground”- Diyathalawa, under the guidance of Major General Nalin Bandaranayake USP, the Commander, SF - Central
The festival marked the beginning by lighting the traditional oil lamp and number of traditional games has been organized such as cross country running, climbing greasy pole, pillow fighting, tug of war, obstacle running, selecting of new year prince and the princess were some iconic events among them. The winners were awarded with valuable gifts.
The Commander Security Forces (central) graced the occasion as the chief guest and senior officers and officers from SFHQ (central) and under command battalions, Other Ranks and their families participated for the event.
