Poson Poya celebration of the Sithulpawwa Rajamaha Vihara was held on 21 June 2024, with the participation of a large number of gathering. Notable features of the event were unveiling of marble Buddha Statue and lighting of Sithulpawwa Sthupa.
Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe, a large number of government and private sectors representatives, GOC 12 Infantry Division and philanthropists assisted for the event were present at the occasion. During the speech Chief Incumbent of Sithulpawwa, Ven. Lelwala Samitha Thero payed special thank to the Commander of the Army and GOC 12 Infantry Division, for the assistance given in many ways to bring the event a success.
