Under the leadership of Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP, Commander Security Forces Central and Major General HTW Vidyananda RWP RSP USP, Commander 12 Infantry Division and with the supervision of Brigadier BDTD Jayaratne psc, Commander 122 Infantry Brigade conduct Scholarships awarding ceremony at the Ruhunu Kataragama Kiriwehera Temple premises.
Through the generous full financial support of Mr. Chanaka Rajapaksa and Mr. Yadarathnam Chandrasekaran five scholarships were awarded to five childrens of Corporal Ranasinghe ANMK, Corporal Sanjeewa NKS, Lance Corporal Prasanna WRM and Infantryman Madhusanka DWGH who belong to 1st Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment distributed under the coordination of armed forces personnel.
The programme took place at the Daya Gamage Dana Shala premises of the Ruhunu Kataragama Kiriwehera Rajamaha Viharaya and highlighted the armed forces’ ongoing commitment to social welfare and support for vulnerable communities.
