Major General Mihidu Perera assumed duties as the 14th General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division on 08 October 2022 at the Infantry Division Headquarters premises in Nagarawewa, Hambantota.
On his arrival at the Division headquarters premises, the Colonel General Staff, Colonel IP Jayasinghe, welcomed the Chief Guest and invited him to review the Guard Turnout and the Guard of Honour parade, presented by the 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops in accordance with military traditions. The assumed duties programme followed by a group photograph, planting a Mango sapling and a troop address with the participation of Major General Mihidu Perera, as Chairperson, 121 & 122 Infantry Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 12 Infantry Division.
