A lecture on ‘Gender-Responsive Budgeting’ was conducted on 29 October 2025 at the Sino-Lanka Friendship Auditorium of the Sri Lanka Military Academy for the troops of Security Forces (Central) under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (Central) Major General Nalin Bandaranayake USP.
The main objective of this program was to enhance awareness among Army personnel on the importance of promoting gender equality and equity between men and women, and its relevance to achieving sustainable development goals. The lecture was conducted by Chief Inspector Manoj Samarasekara, Praja Police Division of Sri Lake Police Department. who served as the practical knowledge and professional resource person. A total number of 51 Officers and 512 Other Ranks participated in the programme.
