Troops of at the Headquarters of 11 Infantry Division, greeted the first working day in the Year-2025. The ceremony began on January 1st with a flag hoisting event by Major General K A U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding, Deputy General Officer Commanding Brigadier T C Harasgama RSP 11 Infantry Division raised the National Flag and the Division Flag respectively and joint singing of National Anthem and the Army song.
Later, two minute silence was observed to remember all fallen War Heroes, reading of the State Allegiance Oath, Clean Sri Lanka Oath followed by the New Year message of Commander of the Army. Then, General Officer Commanding participated for a formal tea with all Officers, Other Ranks and Civil staff.
