AN AWARENESS LECTURE WAS CONDUCTED FOR OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS SERVING IN THE DIYATALAWA AREA UNDER THE SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (CENTRAL), BY REPRESENTATIVES FROM SRI LANKA ARMY MILITARY POLICE AND SRI LANKA ARMY MEDICAL CORPS.

An awareness lecture on ‘Maintaining Discipline in the Festive Season under present Economic situation’ was conducted at Security Forces Headquarters (Central) on 31 March 2026, under the direction of Directorate Of Provost Marshal -Sri Lanka Army. The lecture was the conducted by Major BGTD Bandara of 7th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police under the facilitation of Security Forces Headquarters (Central).

The lecture was commenced from 0900hrs to 1030hrs, delivering in depth analysis of contemporary disciplinary issues which may commit by Army personnel during the festive season ahead. Further emphasized the impact of the subjected issues to Army personnel and their loved ones.

Furthermore, in accordance with the instructions of the Directorate of Medical Services, awareness was provided on how to act in the prevailing hot weather conditions. During this, guidance was given on how to behave when exposed to strong sunlight, as well as health advice on drinking water and preventing dehydration. The lecture was conducted by Second Lieutenant WHQKMS Jinasena and L/Cpl Sanjeewa RMA who are serving at the Army Base Hospital – Diyatalawa.

A total number of 14 x 159 Officers and Other Ranks representing the Security Forces Headquarters and affiliated battalions were attend at the event.
