Troops of Engineer Service attached to 12 Infantry Division supported by the troops of 18 GW and 3 SLNG under took a miraculous task of constructing a new kitchen for Kataragama Dewalaya within less than 4 weeks. Responding to the request made by Basnayake Nilame, GOC 12 Infantry Division directed to attend for the task and completed before festival.
In parallel to this, troops were employed to construct new steps for pilgrims and devotees to come out from Menik River to Dewalaya Premises offer devotional presentaion.
