122 INFANTRY BRIGADE TROOPS SUPPORT BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN

Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - Central, Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP and General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division Major General H T W Vidyananda RWP RSP USP and on the instructions of the Brigade Commander,122 Infantry Brigade Brigadier BDTD Jayaratne psc, totally 120 donors including troops of the 122 Infantry Brigade, 12 battalion of Gajaba Regiment, 3 battalion of Sri Lanka National Guard, Sri Lanka Air Force – Weerawila Camp and staff of Double tree by Hilton Weerawila Rajawarna Resort, Nova Apparel - Weerawila and villagers voluntarily donated blood during a campaign held at Double tree by Hilton Weerawila Rajawarna Resort on 11 September 2025. The initiative was conducted in conjunction with the ‘PRANA’ programme.

Medical teams from Blood Bank of the District General Hospital, Hambantota contributed to the successful execution of the event. All refreshments for the medical staff of the Hambantota District General Hospital Blood Bank and the blood donors who participated in the blood donation program was provided by the Double tree by Hilton Weerawila Rajawarna Resort.
