12 Infantry Division organized a welfare project to donate school accessories for 73 students at Aluthwela Purana Rajamaha Vihara Daham School in Buttala on 29 June 2024.
With the guidance of GOC 12 Infantry Division, Brigade Commander of 121 Infantry Brigade, Brig KGMN Senevirathne USP coordinated the donors for this community project. A group of philanthropists from ‘Hope For Life Lanka’ foundation provided the sponsorship for the program, each student got Rs. 2,750.00 worth gift pack which included a school bag, water bottle, a pair of socks, a exercise book, pencil and a lunch box. Teachers of the Daham School were gifted with valuable gifts worth Rs.25,000.00.
Senior officers, members of Hope for Lanka Life foundation, staff of Daham School, parents were present at the event and all the participants were offered with a delicious lunch by ‘Hope for Life Lanka’ foundation and financial cost of this social project was Rs. 370,000.00.
