12 Infantry Division bids farewell to the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) Major General HTW Vidyanananda RWP RSP USP on 12 September 2025 at the Divisional Headquarters.
The Senior officer was awarded with a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Hounour by the troops of 12 Battalion the Gajaba Regiment. To mark the event GOC posed for a group photograph with the officers of the division and planted a sapling. In line with military formalities the outgoing GOC declared open newly constructed Lecture hall of 12 Infantry Division Headquarters. Later, the troops were addressed by the General Officer Commanding and he interacted with the officers and other ranks during the all ranks tea.
The farewell proceedings continued on 12 September 2025, when Officers and Other Ranks of the 12 Infantry Division Headquarter formed a street line, extending their heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to Major General HTW Vidyanananda RWP RSP USP.
