Newly assumed Commanding Officer 3 Mechanized Infantry Regiment

Major R A J M Ranasinghe USP psc assumed duties as the 11th Commanding Officer of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 01 Jan 2024. A formal ceremony was held to to welcome the newly appointed Commanding Officer comprised with a Guard Turnout and ceremonial parade.

The Commanding Officer took over duties signing an official document amid religious observances, subsequently planted a sapling in the battalion premises to mark the assumption of duties and followed by a troop address. All Officers and Other Ranks of the battalion extended their warm wishes to the newly appointed Commanding Officer for a successful tenure.
