The Newly Appointed Colonel of the Regiment Pays his Official Visit to Mechanized Infantry Training Centre

The Director General Military Intelligence and the Colonel of the Regiment of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Major General A H A D Ariyasena RWP RSP USP psc ptsc formally visited the Mechanized Infantry Training Centre (MITC)- Periyakaddu on 18 February 2025.

Lt Col R M H B Rathnayake RSP USP psc, the Comdt - MITC warmly welcomed the Colonel of the Regiment and introduced all key appointment holders on arrival. Then the Colonel of the Regiment planted a sapling and appeared for a group photograph to mark his first official visit to MITC.

Subsequently, the Comdt - MITC conducted a briefing on the Training Centre and the Colonel of the Regiment address the Officers and instructors highlighting the importance of prioritising the training. He shared his vision and importance of the training and discipline to uphold the honour of the victorious army during his address to Officers/ Other Ranks of MITC and 2 MIR.

Then he inspected the model rooms (Auto & Gnry), B veh model and T 56 small arms simulator and he recorded his compliments in the visitors' book before the departure.
