MIR - SVB CONDUCTED A DONATION PROGRAMME

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment conducted the Scholarship programme beneficial for 105 school children whose parents are serving as sldrs and civ servants of the MIR on 28 December 2024 at the RHQ MIR. Mrs. Nilanthi Wanasinghe, the President, MIR - SVB graced the occasion as the Chief Guests, along with Maj Gen WMSCK Wanasinghe RSP, General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division and the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry regiment. The scholarship is Rs.12000.00 worth given per child. In addition to that, a complete set of stationary items and school bags are also donated to beneficiary children which values more than Rs

2 million. This is the highest number of scholarships ever donated in the history of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch since its' inception. Addition to that set of special sanitary items for the child of S/829332 Sgt Dissanayaka DMNU worth of Rs. 10,800.00 also donated by the President SVB (MIR). Moveover, monthly meeting for the month of December also held parallel to the event

. MIR - SVB members, Council Members, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and civil servants participated in the donation event.
