THE REGIMENT OF SRI LANKA ARTILLERY EMERGED AS THE CHAMPIONS OF ARMY INTER REGIMENT VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP- 2024 BY DEFETING SLAOC AT THE FINALS

The Army Inter Regiment Volleyball Championship 2024 took place from 25 June to 25 July, and the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery emerged as the Champions of Volleyball Championship after 11 Years, by defeating the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps who had been Champions of 2019 and 2022. The finals were held at the APTS Gymnasium, Panagoda on 25 July 2024.

The Commander, Security Forces (Central) and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, along with Senior Officers, Officers, and other members of the Gunner family, were present at the venue to support and encourage the players.

Renewing the old rich tradition of the Gunner family the champion trophy was presented to the Colonel Commandant at the entrance to the Officers’ Mess by the captain and the team who came in procession.
