Three Senior Gunners Concluded "Ride with Pride" Cycle Ride at Galle Face

The "Ride with Pride Around the Pearl” friendship cycle ride, which commenced on 28 April 2024 concluded its journey at Galle Face, Colombo on 11 May 2024

Major General Sumith Balasooriya (Rtd), Major General Sumith Premalal (Rtd) and Colonel Pradeep Perera (Rtd) including senior gunners, participated in this historic event, covering a distance of 1268 kilometers.

The ride was divided into 11 stages, traversing through the areas of Kalpitiya, Mulankavil, Pooneryn, Kankesanturai, Mullaitivu, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Pottuvil, Katharagama, Tangalle, Aluthgama and culminated the journey returning to its starting point at Galle Face.

Members of the Army Cycling Association, along with Retired Senior Officers, Serving Senior Officers, Officers and troops, joined at various destinations to support and encourage the participants throughout their journey.

This remarkable event showcases the resilience, determination, and camaraderie of our armed forces, inspiring all to strive for excellence and unity.
