The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery bid farewell to Brigadier S I P Vidanagamage RSP IG on 10 December 2024. The farewell formalities were held in the customary manner at the Artillery Regimental Centre, Panagoda.
The ceremony commenced with the laying of a floral wreath at the Regimental Monument in honour of the fallen war heroes. A Guard Turnout and a Farewell Parade were then accorded to Brigadier S I P Vidanagamage RSP IG by the troops of the Regiment.
The day's events were concluded with a Farewell Dinner hosted by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General B K G M L Rodrigo RSP psc IG, along with other Senior Officers and Officers, at the Artillery Regimental Officers' Mess in Panagoda.
