The Commandant of the Army War College, Major General P S Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking lecture to student officers of Senior Command Course 14, Junior Command Course 33, and Junior Staff Course 29 on 15 August 2025 at the Army War College premises. The session also included the participation of four international student officers representing Australia, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Pakistan, along with faculty members and the permanent staff.
Delivering a presentation on the theme ‘Navigating Financial Challenges and Achieving Efficiency in Military Operations,’ the Commandant offered deep insights and strategic perspectives on a topic currently under his academic research. His lecture ignited a series of impassioned discussions and interactive exchanges, demonstrating his commitment to the intellectual development of future military leaders.
Major General Subath Sanjeewa's presentation was well-structured, highly informative, and persuasive, engaging the audience in a manner that combined operational insight with academic rigor. The session concluded with a vibrant Q&A segment, where officers were encouraged to ask questions and share their viewpoints making the session not only educational but also intellectually stimulating.
The session also fostered international camaraderie, as Captain Hussain Haleem of the Pakistan Army, a foreign student officer of Junior Command Course 33, marked Pakistan’s Independence Day on 14 August with fellow participants. The celebration commemorated Pakistan’s independence in 1947 and reinforced bonds of friendship and mutual respect among officers from allied nations.
The event reflected the Army War College’s continued dedication to developing intellectually capable, strategically aware, and operationally efficient military leaders both locally and internationally.
