THE VISIT OF DELEGATION OF DIRECTORATE OF RESEARCH CONCEPT AND DOCTRINE RECEIVES UPDATES ON AWC

A distinguished delegation led by Brigadier TN Majeed RSP USP ndc Lsc, Director- Research Concept and Monitoring, along with members of Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine (RCD) made a visit to Army War College (AWC) on 02 August 2024. This visit, orchestrated under the direction of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, marks a significant step towards fortifying the training standards and procedures of the AWC.

The visiting delegation was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commandant on behalf of the Commandant Major General H H K S S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc at the AWC Headquarters premises.

The main objective of this visit was to monitor and assess the standards of conducting all three career courses productively and efficiently. Directing staff headed by the Chief Instructor devised a brief session at the AWC Headquarters Auditorium to expose the form and function of the Defence Studies Branch to the RCD Delegation. There, the delegation engaged with the faculty members, and officers of the Permanent Staff received a comprehensive update on the present situation of the AWC proceedings.
