JUNIOR STAFF COURSE STUDENTS ENGAGE IN EXERCISE BLUE WATER

Student Officers of the Junior Staff Course 26 (JSC 26) participating in the 'Exercise Blue Water' debated on a timely pertinent topic in the JSC Auditorium on Tuesday 23 July 2024 as per the course curriculum and the training schedule.

The motion of the debate was “The high rate of premature retirement or Absent without Leave reported in the Sri Lanka Army is due to the present economic crises that made a rapid increase in cost of living” and it gave both sides a plenty of areas to argue where the Opposition had the chances to choose between arguments which they wanted to focus on and priorities as the opposing team made arguments against the same topic.

Student Officers, who represented two teams as two sub-syndicates, enthusiastically engaged in the debate and presented arguments based on their findings of facts and experiences to treat the topic from an unbiased, balanced viewpoint.

The Senior Instructor of Junior Staff Course, Army War College closely observed the session and encouraged the Student Officers consistent with the directives formulated under the guidance of the Commandant Army War College Major General HHKSS Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc.

Altogether 26 Student Officers, Head of the Academic Wing along with the Directing Staff of JSC and English Language Instructors participated in the session under the guidance of the Acting Chief Instructor.
