THE DEFENCE ADVISOR AT HIGH COMMISSION OF MALDIVES VISITS TO ARMY WAR COLLEGE

Colonel Hassan Amir, the Defence Advisor at the High Commission of Maldives to Sri Lanka, paid a visit to Sri Lanka Army War College (AWC), Buttala on 24 July 2025. Major General P S Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc, the Commandant of AWC in reciprocal, extended his best wishes and greetings to the visiting Defence Advisor before the exchange of views on general matters of mutual interest got underway at HQ AWC. A cordial discussion ensued on possible avenues for developing the relationship between the two nations through military education in the future.

During the visit, the Defence Advisor took a brief knowledge on the functioning of the Defence Study Branch, Library, cloth modal room and the other few places of importance before he had an interactive conversation with the student officer (Captain) of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) following the Junior Command Course 33 and a few other foreign officers who represents the other friendly foreign nations.

Having marked the long-standing bilateral military relationship between the two nations, an exchange of mementoes to mark his visit took place. Signing of the visitor’s Book brought the meeting to a culmination.
