VIR EMERGED AS THE ARMY CARROM CHAMPIONS FOR THE THIRD TIME

Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) carrom players were crowned as the Champions in the Inter Regiment Carrom Championship - 2022, held during 20 -25 March 2022 at the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) Regimental Centre premises.

Players in sixteen regiments vied for supremacy. VIR team’s rival, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was beaten during the finals. VIR carrom players emerged as the champions in 2016 and 2018 years as well.

The awarding ceremony was graced by Major General P A J Peiris ndu, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC), as the Chief Guest.
