Mrs Kumudu Manage, the new President of the VIR Seva Vanitha Branch assumed office on 22 November 2021 at the Seva Vanitha Branch President’s Office at Vijayabahu Infantry Regimental Centre, Boyagane, Kurunegala during a brief ceremony that preceded religious observances, rites and rituals while adhering all the health precautions and guidelines stipulated to prevent COVID-19 outbreak.
Mrs Kumudu Manage on arrival was received by Mrs Nadeera Wijekoon, Hon. Secretary, VIR Seva Vanitha Branch, offering a bouquet of flowers. Later on, amidst religious observances signifying the acceptance of the VIR Seva Vanitha Branch which is dedicated for the promotion of welfare activities of War Heroes and their families of VIR, Mrs Kumudu Manage placed her signature in an official document.
The day reached its climax as the New Seva Vanitha President donated a full-fledged bathroom facilities worth of Rs 138,072.00 to S/500929 Sergeant Bannaka BMAS belongs to Regimental Headquarter Battalion who was retired due to medical reasons.
Major General Nishantha Manage, Colonel of the Regiment of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, a few senior Army officers and a gathering of VIR Seva Vanitha members were present at the occasion.
