Captain Charith Marapana and Miss Thakshila Madhushani Veebadhdha tied matrimonial knot at the “Salute” Multifunctional Hall Boyagane, Kurunegala on 22 October 2020. The glittering wedding was adorned with full military customs by adhering all the preventive measures for COVID-19 pandemic.
Captain Charith Marapana joined the Sri Lanka Army on 05 September 2008 as an Officer Cadet of the Sri Lanka Military Academy Diyathalawa with Intake SC 16. He was commissioned on 04 July 2009 as a Second Lieutenant and posted to the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. He has hold responsible appointments as a Platoon Commander and Company Commander of 19th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment as well as Officer Commanding Media Section of Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi). At present, he is performing duties as a Company Commander of 24th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. His gorgeous wife Ms. Thakshila Madhushani Veebadhdha was an old girl of Sri Rahula National school, Alawwa. At present, she is following a Tri Lingual Studies Degree at University of Kelaniya.
Brigadier Sisira Herath, the Centre Commandant of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment graced this remarkable event as the Chief Guest. Senior Officers, Officers and invitees of bride and bridegroom witnessed the wedding ceremony.
