Major General S D T Liyanage WWV RWP VSV USP ndc psc, Chief of Staff was at the VIR Regimental Centre, Boyagane, Kurunegala on 28 November 2019 to conduct the administrative inspection to ensure all VIR units under the Regiment function well and conform to all stipulated procedures of the Sri Lanka Army.
On his arrival, he was warmly received by the Colonel of the Regiment Vijayabahu Infantry Regimet, Major General R K B S Ketakumbura RSP and accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance of the Regimental Centre.
Before commencement of the proceedings of the inspection conference, Chief of Staff briefed the gathering of the importance of reviewing administrative proceedings in the Army for effective performance of duties.
Director Generals, Directors and Staff Officers of Army Headquarters, Centre Commandant VIR, Commanding Officers of all VIR battalions and Staff Officers of the VIR Regimental Centre were among the gathering.
