ANNUAL FIELD VISIT OF OFFICER CADETS TO REGIMENTAL CENTRE VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT

Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment was visited by Officer Cadets under training at Diyatalawa Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) Intakes-87 & 59 (v) on sunday(17) during the field visit as a part of their familiarization component in the curriculum.

The Vijayabahu Infantry RegimentCenter Commandant, Brigadier W S Ariyasinghe, together with Staff Officers at the Regimental Centre, VIR welcomed those visiting Cadet Officers and Officer Instructors to the RHQ premises.

A presentation was conducted by Adjutant, RHQ VIR on the directions of Major General A Kariyakarawana, Colonel of the Regiment, VIR, in order to provide the visiting Cadets with an overall picture of the roles of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment after they arrived at the Headquarters.

Officer Cadets, Course Officers and Other Rank Instructors joined the tour to the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment - Kurunegala.

Before their departure, Officer Cadets presented a memento to Brigadier W S Ariyasinghe, Centre Commandant, VIR as an appreciative gesture.
