Annual Inter Battalion Athletic meet, organized by the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment was held in Kurunegala Maligapitiya ground. The Athletic meet began on 06 October and closing ceremony was held on 08 October 2015. A total of 369 athletes, representing from all battalions competed in the meet. 1st Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (1VIR) won the championship for the 2015 gaining 113 points and 5th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (5VIR) became the runners up with a close gap of points between the champions. 100 points gain by 5VIR in Vijayabahu Athletic Meet 2015 and 18th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (18VIR) won the 3rd place.
