VIR TRIATHLETES EMERGED AS 2ND RUNNERS-UP IN INTER REGIMENT TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP 2020

The Inter Regiment Triathlon Championship 2020 organized by Army Athletic Committee got underway by the side of the Chandhrika Tank bund area at Embilipitiya on 27 September 2020. Championship events consisted of 750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running.

In this unique platform to witness endurance, strength and stamina of the soldiers of the Army, VIR triathletes emerged as the 2nd Runners-up competing 14 Regiment teams. In novices’ event, S/528727 L/Cpl Adhikari AMPP of 1 VIR emerged as the Runner-up triathlete of the tournament.

Being the youngest Infantry Regiment, VIR proud to showcase talents of young archers who have courage and endurance to challenge dominated Regiments in the sports arena.
