VIR SEVA VANITHA PROVIDES MORE SCHOOL & SCHOOL ACCESSORIES
The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit, chaired by Mrs Sharanki Dias with the sponsorship of Ivan Widanaarachchi Foundation, recently gave away school accessories and other essentials to 51 more school students and deposited funds for award of scholarships to the same students.
In addition to gift parcels of school accessories, each student was given a pass book containing a fixed deposit of Rs 1000/= as an incentive to continue their studies.
The simple ceremony at VIR Regimental Centre Boyagane was witnessed by Major General Jagath Dias, Colonel of Regiment, VIR, Messer\'s Ivan Vidanarachchi, Ravi Dadilani and Jony Fernando of Vidanarachchi Foundation, Chairperson VIR Seva Vanitha Unit, Seva Vanitha Members and senior officers attended the occasion.
