VIR Seva Vanitha Ladies Visit Mental Patients in Mulleriyawa
Several members of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) Seva Vanitha Unit, together with Chairperson Mrs Sharanki Dias, visited the Army-maintained Ward No. 6 of the Mulleriyawa Teaching Hospital where 50 mental patients are receiving treatment.
During the visit, VIR Seva Vanitha members inquired into the well-being of the patients and served them to tea.
Mrs Sharanki Dias afterwards opened the newly constructed kitchen in the ward.
At the end of the visit, several items needed for use of the patients were also donated to the ward.
