One more new house, built by Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit was awarded to the visually and physically - handicapped War Hero, SSMP Suraweera during a recent simple ceremony at Nugadalawaththa Ranaviru Village, Gampaha.
VIR Seva Vanitha Unit provided financial assistance and Ranaviru Seva Authority provided the land to build the house.
With the invitation of Mrs. Sharanki Dias, President, VIR Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Lilee Kobbekaduwa, Chairperson of Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa Foundation and Mrs. Padma Weththewa, Chairperson of Ranaviru Seva Authority opened the newly - built house.
Major General Jagath Dias, Commander, Security Force Headquarters Mullaithivu, VIR Regimental Centre Commandant, Officers and a gathering of VIR Seva Vanitha members were present at the occasion.
