The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment emerged as Champions of the Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Novices Boxing Championship - 2023 which concluded on 02 June 2023, at Army Indoor Stadium, Panagoda. Director Sports Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier Anil Peiris – SLAC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Players from various Army regiments tested their skills and competed in the race for championship in the Inter Regiment Novices Boxing Championship. The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Boxing team under the supervision of 24th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment was able to obtain the 1st place by securing 5 Gold Medals, 01 Silver Medal and 02 Bronze Medals.
