The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Inter Battalion Football Tournament 2026 was organized by the 11th Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment with the objective of selecting new players for the regiment football team. Based on the concept of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General K.A.W.N.H. Bandaranayake USP. The tournament was held from 05 February 2026 to 09 February 2026 at the Eagle Ground, Valvettithurai.The final match was contested between the 11th Vijayabahu Infantry Battalion and the 10th (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Battalion, with the 10th (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Battalion emerging as the champions.The Chief Guest for the final match was the Commander of the 511 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K.D. Gothatuwa RWP RSP. The Commander of the 521 Infantry Brigade Brigadier B.D.T.D. Jayarathne PSC presented a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 to the championship-winning team.
