SEVA VANITHA TRADE FAIR AND CARNIVAL HELD IN SUCCESSFULLY
A Trade Fair and carnival, organized by the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) Seva Vanitha Branch on 30 and 31 July 2016 at Maligapitiya playground in Kurunegala.
Two-days Trade Fair and Carnival intended to raise funds for welfare work of the families of fallen War Heroes, disable War Heroes and serving Army personnel was inaugurated on Saturday (30) by Col Of the Regiment Maj Gen KC Gunawardene RWP USP ndu and Sunday (31) By Maj Gen A Kariyakarawana USP ndc at the invitation of Mrs Prabodha Gunawardane Chairperson and VIR Seva Vanitha Branch.
The Trade Fair consists of readymade garments, spices, vegetables, fruits, dried fish, coconuts, rice, handicrafts, electric appliances, school items, hardware, etc and a variety of festive food items. Carnival started after 1800 hrs with many activities carried out for purpose of entertains. Two days concluded by two musical shows On 30th Sakura Range and 31st Seeduwa Sakura performed with most popular dancing groups in Sri Lanka.
