SENIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS` TRAINING DAY WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED

The SNCOs` training day for the year 2023 was held at the Regimental Centre the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 12 May 2023 with the participation of SNCOs including Battalion Sergeant Majors and Regimental Sergeant Major of the regiment.

According to the programme, the training day commenced with the morning physical training session at the Archers Cricket ground followed by drill training at the parade ground of the Regimental Centre. As scheduled, the day’s first lecture was conducted on the topic of "Social Etiquette’’ by Lieutenant Colonel Champika Silva - General Staff Officer I (Operations / Training) Regimental Centre VIR. By giving an exposure, a lecture on ‘‘Efficiency of Humans’’ was unfolded by Major Dinuwan Palihawadana -Staff Officer II (Officer Career Progression Section), Regimental Centre VIR.

In line with the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers` Training Day, Diners` Club session was held at “The Salute” Multifunctional Hall, Boyagane with the participation of SNCOs. Being the guest speaker of the night, Tourism Consultant in Human Resource Training, Mr. Amal Nanayakkara, conducted a timely suited lecture on the topic “The Progressive Change in Management from Behavior to Attitude’’ which gave an eye opener to share their views with the audience and had an interactive session with the guest speaker.

Upon an invitation, the Centre Commandant of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Brigadier M A D J D Gunathilaka RSP USP graced the Diners` Club session as the Chief Guest and a few senior officers were also present during this session.
