A felicitation ceremony was held at the Regimental Center on 28 May 2022 to honour retiring Brigadier Bandula Liyanage, Center Commandant of the Regimental Center Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock in accordance with military traditions upon his retirement from the Army.
To recognize his retirement, a brief but colourful ceremony was organized at the VIR Regimental Centre, headed by the Center Commadant, Staff Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment.
Featuring the traditional event, Brigadier Bandula Liyanage reviewed the Guard Turnout at the main entrance and then offered floral tributes to fallen war heroes who made supreme sacrifice. He then joined a special tea at the Regimental Officers’ Mess accompanied by the regimental Staff Officers.
Commandant and all officers at the occasion extended their heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished Archer for his commitment and dedication to the Vijayabahu Regiment and wished him a healthy and prosperous future.
