The first working day arrangements to coincide with dawn of the New Year 2023, with the directions of Sri Lanka Army Headquarters was held on 02 January 2023 at the regimental center premises.
The Centre Commandant, Brigadier Prabath Kodituwakku and Deputy Centre Commandant, Colonel Srinath Gallage hoisted the National Flag and the Army Flag at the commencement of the day’s arrangement followed by the singing of the National Anthem and Army Song.
A two-minute silence was observed to remember the fallen Vijayabahu War Heroes. Afterwards taking of the state allegiance oath followed before the New Year message of the Commander of the Army, which was read out to the gathering by the Regimental Adjutant.
Event proceedings came to a conclusion with the Centre Commandant addressing all officers, Other Ranks, members of civil staff followed by the New Year message of Director General General Staff Sri Lanka Army Headquarters, Commander 1 Corps and Colonel of the Regiment of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Major General Nishantha Manage.
