According to the direction given by the Commander of the Army and the supervision of the Colonel of the Regiment, The Officers’ Training Day for the third quarter of 2019 was successfully conducted with the participation of 184 officers belong to VIR at RHQ VIR on 10 September 2019.
According to the scheduled programme, all officers attended to the morning PT parade and then after attended to the Drill at Parade Ground.
After that, a lecture on “විස්කම් ඉන්ජිනේරුවා මැවූ ඉතිහාසය, ජන විඥානය සහ අපේ රට” was conducted by Mr. U B G Viraj N Balasuriya (BA Sp Hons.Ar), Acting Assistant Director (Movable Properties) of Department of Archaeology at the Archers Cinema.
Another lecture on “Innovation in Digital Era” was conducted by Mr. Lahiru G Perera, Consultant ACIM(UK) ASLIM(SL) AMIM(SL) MCPM (SL) at the Archers Cinema after the lunch session.
Programme was concluded with the Diners’ Club session and Mr. Rohan Ranatunge, Academic Coordinator, Pasdunrata National College of Education, Kalutara conducted a lecture about “Critical Thinking & Problem Solving during the session.
