NEWLY APPOINTED REGIMENTAL QUARTER MASTER SERGEANT’S UNDER GO REFRESHER COURSE AT RHQ VIR

A refresher course programme for the Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant’s have been commenced on 11 November 2020 at the Regimental Centre, Boyagane with the participation of 16 SNCO’s from under command Bns of the Regiment . With the directions of the Col of the Regt and the Cent Comdt of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment the refresher programme was conducted to enhance the subject knowledge of the SNCO’s, who are newly appointed as RQMS of VIR Bns .

The refresher course imparted to give them theoretic knowledge of Logistics at Bn level, up to AHQ level. Further, Ordnance technical functions, procedures and services, maintains of stores, procedures of transport ammunition and explosives enabling them to work with confidence on their duties conducted by special training team of SLAOC Training School – Dombagoda as a three day workshop from 23rd Nov 2020 to 25th Nov 2020.

The closing ceremony was held on 25th Nov 2020 with the participation of the Centre Commandant of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Brigadier Sisira Herath RWP RSP and the Regimental Staff Officers. At the end of the event the Centre Commandant appreciated resource personnel of SLAOC for their commitment toward VIR.
